TTS Marine ASA has decided to reorganise the company. A new division, Ports and Material Handling, will be established as of the 3PrdP quarter for land-based operations related to shipyard systems, RoRo and container handling onshore.
TTS Marine ASA has decided to reorganise the company. A new division, Ports and Material Handling, will be established as of the 3PrdP quarter for land-based operations related to shipyard systems, RoRo and container handling onshore. The company will also be reporting separately as of the 4PthP quarter on all three divisions: Dry Cargo Handling, Marine Cranes and Ports and Material Handling.
The Ports and Material Handling division will include the companies TTS Handling Systems in Drøbak, Norway, with 19 employees, and TTS Liftec Oy in Tampere, Finland, with 21 employees. TTS will also establish a new company in Gothenburg, Sweden, TTS Port Equipment AB, which will focus on the development and sales of terminal systems onshore. Initially the company will have around 10 employees, most of whom will be transferred from TTS Ships Equipment AB in Gothenburg. Land-based terminal systems were established as a new TTS business area in 2004. TTS expects an operating income of close to NOK 200 million through the companies in the new division in 2005.
TTS Marine has appointed Göran Johansson (61) as the director of the Ports and Material Handling division. He is the director of Dry Cargo Handling and managing director of TTS Ships Equipment AB. Johansson is a naval architect and engineer. Johansson managed Hamworthy KSE AB – Division Dry Cargo Handling from 1995 until its incorporation into the TTS Group. Johansson will also continue as the director of the Dry Cargo Handling division until further notice.
Stellan Bernsro (44) will be the new managing director of the TTS Ships Equipment AB. He was the deputy-managing director of the company since 2004 and will start in his new position as of 1 September. Bernsro has a naval officer and advanced engineering degree, and he started at TTS Ships Equipment AB in 1996. He has worked previously for AGA, Black & Decker and Metalock.
Lennart Svensson (49) will be the managing director of the newly established company TTS Port Equipment AB. He has an engineering degree and has worked for TTS Ships Equipment AB since 1996. Svensson has worked previously for Macgregor and Daros Piston Rings.
